Accommodation in Tanzania ranges from standard hotels and lodges to high end luxury safari lodges or tented camps and beach resorts with a full range of facilities and entertainment in the wilderness as well as the cities of Arusha and Dar es Salaam. It does operate a star-rating system for accommodations; although it cannot be compared to what you would expect in the European Countries or United States although there are some world-class, luxurious, and intimate places in wonderful settings in the parks or the coast.
Majority of the tented accommodation has concrete or wooden floors with en-suite bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushed toilets and electricity provided by a generator. The lodges have a main building with a lounge, dining area and a bar and the rooms are either part of the building or in cottages that blend in with the wilderness
