A historic lodge in Aberdare National Park, where Princess Elizabeth on February 5th 1952 went to bed a Princess and woke up the next day a Queen.
Was refurbished in April 2012.

Its proximity from Nairobi, a 2 ½  hours drive and other destinations around the northern circuit, makes Treetops an ideal safari stop or a weekend out of town.

Activities at the lodge range from bird walks, Return the Bush (RTB) afforestation program to full day moorland game drive in the Aberdare Ranges.

The lodge has 36 rooms all en-suite and includes 3 suites with large windows that allow unobstructed view of the waterhole and views of Mount Kenya. One of the standard rooms is specifically designated for physically challenged and access is through a gradual ramp.

Other facilities include a dining room, a partially open lounge on top of the building overlooking the waterhole and photographic hides with large windows


42 rooms furnished with indigenous wood and African art, en suite bath/shower and a spacious verandah overlooking the waterhole, where there is never a dull moment (2 adults and 1 child).
