The Mbalageti Serengeti is located in the Western corridor of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. It is situated on the Mwamveni hill and offers a breathtaking panorama view of the Serengeti plain lands and the Mbalageti River. The lodge comprises tented chalets and a central building built from natural materials, all positioned to take advantage of the great views as well as the immediate surroundings.

The central building consists of an elegant bar which is the natural meeting point and heart of the lodge, serving a wide range of local and imported beverages; a cosy lounge loft on the 2nd floor with board games, puzzles, magazines and a selection of books, and a well-stocked curio shop.

Outside, a wooden deck features a swimming pool made of local rocks and set on the edge of the hill with 360 degree views of the Serengeti. A newly built Massage Boma offers massage services and the Tranquillity Pool is a great place to unwind after an activity-packed day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinners are served in Mbalageti’s restaurant which overlooks the Serengeti. A small tea garden off the Welcome Centre serves high tea with a selection of home baked pastries every afternoon. The bar is the central meeting point and heart of the lodge with a wide range of both local and imported products available.

There are 14 standard ensuite lodge rooms for budget travelers. 24 tented chalets are designed for a luxury safari experience all ensuite with private veranda. Two spacious exclusive suites.
All rooms are beautifully decorated in a modern design for a feeling of comfort and have en suite bathrooms and a small veranda. Sunset or sunrise, each side of the hill accommodates 12 of our 24 luxury tented chalets. With a structure of local rock and wood, these canvas fitted chalets are the perfect way of relaxing after a day of game viewing.
