Sabuk is remote and beautiful; an alluring haven on the edge of the Northern Frontier District. With five double guest cottages perched on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro river below, time stands still and the haunting beauty of this wilderness spreads out before you.
The lodge has 6 beautifully furnished open sided en suite cottages, plus Eagle Cottages (a family cottage) which consists of 2 en suite bedrooms, and a private seating / dining room with plunge pool. Both the lodge rooms and the cottage have their own fabulous views. Sabuk was fashioned out of the local landscape, built with local materials, twisted wood and stone boulders incorporated into the architecture. Open fronted and private veranda’s face out over the river gorge 150 feet below.
Sabuk Fly Camp is perfect for clients spending 3 or more days. Walk with a professional safari guide, a camel train and a team of trained Laikipia Maasai warriors through completely deserted tracts of wilderness: no other tourists, no roads or vehicles, only wildlife and tracks, breathtaking scenery, the sounds of the bush, Africa. One of the best places to see wild dogs
6 open-sided cottages (2 adults), each one unique in design and décor, have en suite bathrooms, with private verandahs facing out over the river gorge 150 feet below. Eagle cottage (4 adults) featuring a private pool is also available.
