Situated overlooking the seafront of Zanzibar, Tembo House Hotel is surrounded by historic buildings and magical views of some of the islands. It has a small intimate beach in front of it but swimming here is not recommended. Rather use the hotel’s pool as it is cleaner and a lot safer. The front terrace provides a nice quiet spot to sit and watch the amazing East African sunsets. In keeping with strict Muslim law, they do not serve alcohol. A short distance down the road you will find a couple of pubs which should satisfy your thirst.
