Situated in the far North of Laikipia with far-reaching views to Mt Kenya and the great northern deserts, amid grassy hills and deep valleys, wooded withacacia and olives. The sandy laghas are bordered by great fig and fever trees. It is named after Ol Lentille – the 1977 meter hill, from the top of which an astonishing panorama unfolds.
Perched on the flanks of a wooded rock kopje, in the heart of our private conservancy, is The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille – a collection of four private, full-service, fully staffed houses for the discerning few. “Your Own Place in the African Wilderness”.
The houses range from the one bedroom Eyrie, to the three bedroom Chief’s House. Each has its own
dedicated butler, valet, and guide. Each house is uniquely designed. 14-16 people may be accommodated. There is a swimming pool with lounging and dining pavilions, a spa, a game-viewing deck with bar which at night is equipped with a GPS controlled telescope, and a club room, known as the Library.
The Sanctuary at Ol Lentille is managed under long term contract for the Maasai community by John & Gill Elias, who are resident nearby.
The Ol Lentille Conservancy, while small in relative terms at 14,500 acres, is a vital keystone in the protection of the Laikipia and greater Ewaso Nyiro ecosystems. Covering an area of 30,000 square kilometres, Laikipia is the second largest wildlife ecosystem in Kenya after Tsavo. Laikipia is the richest ecosystem in Kenya in terms of endangered species, and is the richest ecosystem in Kenya in terms of wildlife diversity. Laikipia is second only to the Maasai Mara in terms of wildlife density, and is the only district in Kenya where overall wildlife numbers are increasing.
Activities in the conservancy includes day and night game drives, day and night treks, abseiling and rock climbing, horse riding, camel riding, mountain biking, quad-bikes, bush skills course, fly camping. The spa offers massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and beauty treatments

Set on the escarpment with panoramic views, the main lodge has seven rooms. The celebrated Star Beds, Kiboko and Kioja, each comprising of 2 double star bed sleeping platforms and one large family platform which all have ensuite bathroom and showers. Loisaba Private House offer guest’s private and exclusive accommodation, with their own staff, car and guide, as well as access to the main lodge’s facilities including the spa, swimming pool, and tennis court.
